Simple Minds wins the 2026 REWIND RUMBLE tournament over
"Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears by a very slim margin,
receiveing 55% of the vote.
Thank you to everyone who participated in what will become an annual tradition.

ROUND 3 RESULTS
MATCHUP 13:
The disparate group of teens from Shermer High School send a Rewind Rumble powerhouse to detention.
"Don't You (Forget About Me)" advances to the Finals with 60% of the vote.
MATCHUP 14:
Kenny Loggins was a force to be reckoned with throughout the tournament,
but was no match for one of the greatest anthems of the '80s.
Tears for Fears advance to the Finals with 64% of the vote.
ROUND 2 RESULTS
MATCHUP 9:
Can anyone beat Kenny Loggins? It's looking like "Danger Zone" is a tournament favorite, earning 78% of the vote and sending a sidewinder missle through the heart of Flashdance.
MATCHUP 10:
Raise your fists in the air, The Breakfast Club fans. You've moved "Don't You (Forget About Me)" (which earned 63% of the vote) to the Final Four.
MATCHUP 11:
Almost everybody wanted Tears for Fears to rule this matchup. "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" moves on to the Final Four with a whopping 85% of the vote.
MATCHUP 12:
Two great songs, one classic film. Kenny Loggins remains a force to be reckoned with as "Footloose" moves on to the Final Four with 68% of the vote.

Huey Lewis didn't receive enough love to beat out his dangerous opponent. Kenny Loggins moves on to the second round with 60% of the vote.
MATCHUP 2:
Well, it looks like there's a lot of love for Kenny Loggins as he dances to another win, collecting 68% of the vote.
MATCHUP 3:
The Queen of Rock 'n' Roll emerges from the thunderdome victorious collecting 59% of the vote.
MATCHUP 4:
The Nothing consumes Fantasia and it fails to advance while Baby gets lifted to the next round.
MATCHUP 5:
"Maniac" wins with the highest win percentage of all matchups thus far at 73%.
MATCHUP 6:
Throw some popcorn in the air in celebration as "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" advances with 65% of the vote.
MATCHUP 7:
Let's hear it for Denice Williams and Footloose as the movie logs another win, collecting 52% of the vote (one vote more than Starship received).
MATCHUP 8:
